The project reinterprets a historic site on Weihenstephan Hill, where the former monastery wall once defined the edge of the landscape. The design reinstates this boundary as the organizing framework for a new library, faculty building, and laboratory.

Terracing the hillside creates distinct plateaus and reduces the buildings’ impact on the historic silhouette. The library and faculty occupy the upper level for direct student access; the laboratory sits on the lower terrace and connects back to the faculty below.

A new public stair links the ensemble to the monastery walk and opens the complex toward the Court Garden. Architecture and circulation work together to reconnect campus, history, and landscape.
